XLD3 - A Water Story

Drama Queensland presents XLD3 - Excellence in Drama Education.

Surrender to the current and be swept through brimming brooks, sandy shallows and into deliciously cool, deep pools of mystery. What stories lie beneath the surface of the waters? Be tempted, take the journey - Bon voyage!

This innovative performance project brings together young people from nine schools across Brisbane who have worked collaboratively with professional artists and their drama teachers to create an original performance linked by a common dramatic pre-text. United by this pre-text, the participants have worked within three clusters and interwoven their stories to create a compelling ensemble performance which combines shadow puppetry, physical theatre and soundscapes.
