Before requesting a venue hire, please note the following information.
QUT Gardens Point Campus Re-Development - The $200 million re-development of the QUT Science and Technology Precinct at the CBD Gardens Point Campus is now underway and will be completed in the beginning of 2012. As Old Government House and the Gardens Theatre are located adjacent to the redevelopment site, the events team will endeavour to keep disruptions to a minimum for events taking place in those venues. However, due to the construction noise and adjustments in relation to access and parking, we suggest that organisers' day events and conferences at Old Government House consider alternative venues. Evening functions after 6.00pm and weekend events will not be affected. A 5m partition wall will be erected in August, displaying artwork and creating an elegant backdrop for our Gardens Point venues (including Old Government House). You may wish to consider our Kelvin Grove Campus venues when submitting your enquiry. The Events Team will be happy to answer any further queries.
