She's 148 this year but Queensland's new Old Government House is celebrating her first birthday. Reopened after a $15 million restoration just in time for the State's 150th anniversary in June last year, Old Government House is a key addition to QUT Precincts' unique and stylish venues.
Over the past 12 months Old Government House has hosted over 90 corporate events, 22 wedding ceremony and receptions, Gardens Parties and Charity Fundraisers.
With the diversity to accommodate small meetings to large cocktail functions why not consider hosting a future function at the elegant Old Government House.
Located at the Creative Industries Precinct at QUT's Kelvin Grove Campus, The Glasshouse is a multi-function space. Its highly flexible design makes it suitable for conferences, presentations, launches, trade displays and receptions. The Glasshouse has a separate breakout room and kitchenette.

We are offering 15% discount on all board and meeting rooms for bookings made between now and 31 October 2010. Contact the Events Team events@qut.edu.au for more information.
The Glasshouse
Queensland's first university founded at Old Government House
As part the UQ's Centenary celebrations former UQ staff and students are returning to the university's first 'home', Old Government House for High Tea.
In 1909, the central city location of Government House was converted into lecture rooms and laboratories and was chosen to become the site of Queensland's first and Australia's fifth university.
In 1910, the house became and continues to be known as Old Government House. After 61 years, Old Government House and other buildings formerly occupied by UQ were officially handed over in May 1972 to the Queensland Institute of Technology, now Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
