WATCHOUT for Widescreen in the Block

With the use of new technology called WATCHOUT, the technical capabilities of the block at Kelvin Grove have further improved. WATCHOUT combines multiple projectors, or other display devices, with standard computer and network technology to create breathtaking presentations of virtually any size.
The production computer uses standard technology to build the show, then distributes the media files through the network to the display computers to run the show.
What does this mean for our clients? It means that you can project various images of your choice along the entire width of the walls in the block – that’s approximately 20 metres of connected footage. Consider WATCHOUT in the block when you next want to make an impact at your next corporate function. Old Government House:
Under Development
In August 2007, Old Government House closed for a much-anticipated restoration, and will re-open in 2009 as a new and exciting venue for hire. Once completed, it is set to be one of Brisbane’s best wedding and corporate event venues.

The Glasshouse Returns
After a year of serving as the temporary offices of ABC Online, one of the Creative Industries Precinct’s most versatile spaces is opening its doors to venue hire again in early 2008.
Surrounded by floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Creative Industries Precinct, the glasshouse is a multi-functional space with a flexible layout making it ideal for events ranging from meetings for four to cocktail events for 300.

| QUT Precincts wishes to congratulate our Events Coordinator, Elaine MacRae, who gave birth to Findlay Alistair John MacRae on 15 September.
Weighing in at a healthy 7lbs, Findlay is Elaine and her husband Glenn’s first baby.
Elaine will be on maternity leave until September 2008, but in the meantime, Liz Thomas and Annika Shelley will be handling all event enquiries across both the Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove Campuses.
