Collection of TicketsIf you have purchased your tickets over the phone they will be posted to your nominated address, however if you have included concession tickets in the booking these will not be posted. Tickets sold at a concession rate need to be collected from Gardens Theatre Box Office. Please note, you will need to show your concession identification when you come to collect these tickets. Tickets purchased ten (10) days or closer to the night are not able to be posted because we cannot guarantee that you will receive them in time. You will need to pick them up from the ticket office before the performance. All tickets that have been purchased online must be either collected in person from the box office or printed at home by you. (Unfortunately tickets purchased online are not able to be posted). Box Office Opening TimesThe box office will be open one hour before the start of the performance to make it easy for you to collect your tickets. Relax, have a drink, a chat with friends and be seated in time for the start of the show. The times you can purchase your tickets from the Gardens Theatre box office are:
Booking Fees We have a nominal booking fee of $3.30 (per perchase) for tickets purchased by telephone. Ticket RefundsOnce a ticket has been purchased you are unable to cancel the booking. The transaction is final. If for some reason a performance is cancelled then a refund for the full amount paid will be given. Please note we are unable to give any refunds for tickets that are downgraded to a performance or concession type of a lower price. Ticket ExchangesWe understand that at times you may need to change your tickets to another date. This needs to be done, in person, at the Gardens Theatre box office at least 24 hours before the performance date. There is an administration charge of $2.20 per ticket for any date changes and we cannot guarantee that you will have the same seating. Concession PolicyIn order to qualify for the concession prices you will need to show us either your concession card or student card when you come to collect your tickets and the availability of concession tickets may vary with different productions and/or performances. Please note that we are unable to offer some concession types and promotional offers online – they will only be available for in-person purchases. Concession prices apply for QUT staff, QUT Alumni, pensioners, unemployed and groups of 10 or more. Student ConcessionProfessional Theatre Productions All full time and part time students from a registered tertiary institution are able to purchase concession priced tickets, but must produce proof of enrolment at the time of ticket collection. To be eligible for 24 & Under prices, you will need to provide photo ID when you collect your tickets. High School Concession The School Group concession only applies to students attending shows as a school group. If a high school student comes to see a show separately from a school group, then they will be eligible for the 24 & Under concession rate. Children’s TheatrePrimary School Concession The School Group concession applies to students attending as a school group. Primary school students are more than welcome to attend as individuals, but will be charged at the individual student rate of $16. Non school aged children and their adult companion will also be charged at the individual rate, that is, $16 each. Infants Policy We understand that occasionally you may wish to bring younger children to a show. If you do bring a child, then they too will need a fully paid ticket for the performance. Sometimes we do have special children’s shows. With these shows young children under 18 months will be admitted free of charge on the condition that they do not occupy a seat. That is, they must share a seat with the adult. To find out which performances these may be please see the show details on this site or alternatively contact our friendly staff at the box office. Late arrivalCaught in traffic? Got a flat tyre? We’ll help you see as much of the performance as possible, however we need to wait for a suitable break in the performance. This is at the discretion of the Theatre staff and the production company. Seating AllocationSeating is allocated at time of booking. If you have specific seating needs, please include your requirements on your booking form or contact the Box Office in person or by phone to discuss your seating arrangements with our staff. Lost/Stolen TicketsWe know that tickets can get lost. If the worst does happen, we can arrange a replacement. Please report lost or stolen tickets to Gardens Theatre Box Office as soon as possible. You will need to provide us with the name and address at the time of purchase and photo identification to collect the reprinted ticket/s. Change of ArtistOccasionally an artist is replaced due to sickness or an emergency. If this does happen, we may need to vary the advertised program and to add, withdraw or substitute artists as necessary.
