Free Parking for some Gardens Theatre Shows
Subject to availability, free parking is only available from 6.30pm for all Gardens Theatre Professional Season shows and weekend matinees from 12.30pm for 2.00pm.
Free parking is unfortunately not available for weekday matinees, all schools theatre productions, and other QUT student productions. During weekdays, paid parking is also very limited prior to 6.30pm.
If you're eligible for free parking* please enquire with the box office at time of booking.

User-pay Parking - all other visitors
In the event free parking is not available for shows above, and for all other visitors to Gardens Theatre, user-pays short term parking is located under the South-East Freeway. Unfortunately, availability of this parking is extremely limited in the daytime during the university semester, and there may be queuing times. See map above for directions.
Alternatively, commercial parking is available on Charlotte Street at Wilson Parking (Brisbane Central), or you may consider parking at South Bank Parklands, which is just a short stroll across the Goodwill Bridge.

Pay-and-Display parking (maximum stay 4 hours) may be available in the QUT Short Term Car Park under the freeway on Gardens Point Road, off Alice Street. Daytime parking availability is extremely limited during the university semester, resulting in queuing times or no parking spaces. See map above for directions.

Gardens Theatre is a 15-20 minute walk from the city down George Street, or from South Bank Parklands, across the Goodwill Bridge.
Public Transport Information
If you would like to get to Gardens Theatre by public transport (bus, train, ferry or citycat), Queensland Transport has made it very easy for you to find out what method of transportation would be best. All you need to do is go to the Transinfo Website, and you'll see the timetable links, as well as a journey planner on the right.
The journey planner is extremely easy to use; all you need to do is type in your address, then '2 George St, Brisbane' or 'QUT Gardens Theatre', and it will tell you the best routes and modes of transport to get you to Gardens Theatre.

From the northern suburbs, exit at the Queen Street bus terminal (15-20 mins walk to Gardens Theatre). From the southern suburbs, exit at the Mater Hill or South Bank Busway stations (10 mins walk across the Goodwill Bridge).
